Project:
RaSColls is an Arches-based platform developed with the Getty Conservation Institute to manage and share data about heritage science reference and sample collections. The application allows users to:
-
Search and discover collection objects through text-based or map-based queries.
-
Generate customized modular reports from disparate sources.
-
Track acquisition events, analyses, and related metadata.
-
Standardize data across collections to improve stewardship and sharing.
-
Assign friendly identifiers while maintaining compatibility with UUIDs.
TAKIN’s Role:
Takin.solutions supported the project by providing conceptual modelling and semantic data model documentation, ensuring that the Arches implementation accurately reflected the structure and relationships of the collections’ data.
