Overview:
Takin.solutions supported MPIWG in developing sustainable semantic data modeling and governance practices for historical research datasets. The project focused on applying CIDOC CRM and CRMaaa standards and implementing reusable semantic documentation using the Zellij protocol.
Scope of Work:
- Consulted on semantic patterns for modeling scientific historical events and mapping source data to target models
- Delivered training and capacity building in semantic modeling, CIDOC CRM, Linked.Art, and full semantic data management lifecycles
- Implemented a Zellij Pattern Database to document and manage reusable semantic patterns
Outcomes:
- Defined and documented semantic modeling patterns aligned with MPIWG research
- Established Zellij infrastructure for ongoing semantic documentation
- Enhanced staff skills in semantic data governance and pattern-based workflows
